If your traveler has worked for any Providence affiliated facility as a perm staff - they must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel contract. Swedish honors compact licenses.
REQUIRED 2-3 years telemetry experience; optional- VAD, TAVR experience). Screen if strong 2 yrs experience with all requirements
Manager would like to see travelers with stronger OHS experience
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Documentation System: EPIC (REQUIRED, HARDSTOP)
- Communication: SBAR
PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
- Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Unit, myocardial infarction, rule out MI, Primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery patients, vascular surgery patients, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab with or without interventions, stroke patients with cardiac involvement
SPECIAL PROCEDURES:
- Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, CPAP/BiPap, Trach Care
- Blood/Blood Products Administration
- Cardioversion / Defibrillation, Epicardial Pacer Management
- LVAD/Impella, Open Heart 24-28 hours Post-Op
- Tele Interpretation - Dysrhythmia Interpretation and management
Hard Stop (REQUIRED)
- Surgical Telemetry -(open heart surgery experience and vascular ( groin)radial band management, IV skills, ACLS, BCLS, NIH, 2-3 years telemetry experience; optional- VAD, TAVR experience)
- sheath pull experience optional

- Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Antiarrhythmics, Beta Blockers, Cardizem, Hydralazine, Ketamine, Lasix, Nicardipine, Nitroglycerin, Stable drips

Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response:
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring (REQUIRED)
Cardiovascular:
- POST MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery (REQUIRED)
- Post Cardiac Angiogram, Sheath Removal (PREFERRED)
Endocrine/Metabolic:
- V insulin protocols, Titration of Insulin drips (PREFERRED)
Gastrointestinal:
- Feeding tube care and management (PREFERRED)
Genitourinary/Renal:
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure (PREFERRED)
IV therapy/Phlebotomy:
- Blood Product Administration, Starting IVs (REQUIRED)
- Accessing Ports, Phlebotomy, PICC line management (PREFERRED)
Medications:
- Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration (REQUIRED)
- PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips (PREFERRED)
Plastics:
- Surgical drains (REQUIRED)
CERTS: ACLS, BCLS, NIH (REQUIRED)
