Job Requirements A minimum of 18 months of recent respiratory therapy experience in an acute care facility, with 3 years preferred. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and/or a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Graduation from an approved school of respiratory therapy. An Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited college is also required. Obtains and documents diagnostic data such as arterial blood gasses and co-oximetry, pulmonary function, cardiac stress testing, cardiac event monitoring, pulse oximetry and desaturation studies, and ECG’s.
