Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details ICU nursing position at Thomas Memorial Hospital Working with critically ill patients with complex needs Invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring Experience with CRRT and IABP preferred Minimum of one to two years of critical care experience required Travel experience required Job Requirements BLS (AHA) certification required ACLS (AHA) certification required NIHSS certification required PALS preferred ICU experience required Schedule Information Shifts: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Fri-Sat or Sat-Mon) Holiday Requirement: Rotational with core staff Block scheduling allowed, especially for night shift Floating required to Stepdown and occasionally to Med-Surg/Telemetry Unit Specific Information Unit specific orientation includes general hospital orientation and nursing orientation Two 12-hour orientation shifts with a preceptor Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs, solid color scrubs for C.N.As/Monitor Techs Additional Details Unit has 18 beds, expanding to 27 by June/July 2023 Ratios: 1 nurse to 2 patients, sometimes 3 patients in overflow Common diagnoses include Sepsis, Acute MI, strokes, TIA, and seizures Charge Nurse primarily without patients, Hospitalist available 24/7
