Trillium Construction is hiring for an Excavation Estimator in Fort Wayne, IN to join the team at an established contractor that specializes in utility installation, site grading, soil stabilization, and equipment and building foundations throughout the region! This is a full-time, long-term, direct-hire opportunity, paying between $75,000 - $100,000, depending on experience.

Duties:

• Conduct site visits to evaluate ground conditions, access limitations, and other factors impacting project execution.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors required for excavation work.
• Calculate volumes of earthwork (cut and fill) and assess soil composition and grading needs.
• Compile comprehensive bid packages, including detailed breakdowns of costs and timelines.
• Communicate with clients to address questions or concerns regarding bids and project scope.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in excavation or construction estimating.
• Proven experience with earthwork, grading, and utility excavation projects.
• Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, AutoCAD experience helpful.
• Knowledge of Hard Dollar software.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
