About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join our growing real estate practice group in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate law and a strong desire to contribute to the success of our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious attorney to gain valuable experience and build a rewarding career with a respected law firm. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners, receive mentorship, and contribute to the growth of the firm's real estate practice.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including: Real estate acquisitions and dispositions, Leasing transactions (both landlord and tenant representation), Financing transactions, Construction law, Property development, Zoning and land use, Due diligence
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, such as: Purchase and sale agreements, Leases, Loan documents, Construction contracts, Easements and other real property interests
- Assist senior attorneys in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, from initial client consultation to closing.
- Manage client relationships and provide excellent client service.
- Stay abreast of legal and industry developments in the field of commercial real estate.
- Contribute to the firm's growth and development by participating in business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
- Strong academic record, including Dean's List recognition or law review membership.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to client service.
- Licensed to practice law in North Carolina (or eligible for immediate bar admission).
