Position Summary
The Promontory is looking for an experienced, energetic and forward-thinking AGM to lead our service team! Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a service and event team both behind the scenes and as floor manager on duty
- Act as the primary point for guest relations, including responding to guest emails, resolving service or ticket issues, and promoting hospitality throughout the venue
- Constantly work to improve the cleanliness standards and service in all areas of the venue
- Train, develop, and guide new staff
- Handle all guest service issues in an immediate and professional manner
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed, employee reviews, progressive discipline, and any other employee documentation as necessary
- Complete general administrative tasks including:
- Daily opening and closing duties as needed
- Cash handling and POS accounting
- Completing tip exchanges
- Helping to maintain venue facilities, equipment, and supplies
- Settling events and ensuring artists and partners are satisfied
- Create hourly schedules as needed adhering to company standards for labor management and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the venue
- Review financials for each event with the GM and talent buyer(s) to manage comps, expenses, labor, and overall revenue
- Work collaboratively with the Events, Marketing and Executive teams to assist the GM in promoting the overall financial health of the venue
- Provide coaching and support for hourly employees, and possess the ability to fill into any hourly position
About You:
? 3 years of related management experience in the hospitality industry, ideally within an entertainment or concert venue
? Must have the ability to creatively solve problems under pressure
? Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask.
? Ability to work a full-time, ?exible schedule including weekends, holidays and late nights.
? Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs, as well as basic AV and IT knowledge
? Experience with Toast, EventBrite/TicketWeb, Prism knowledge a plus
? While performing the duties of this job, the manager is required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
