Job Title: Vascular Sonographer
Job Specialty: Vascular Sonographer
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8 hours, variable
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a vascular sonographer
License: Relevant credential such as registered vascular technologist (RVT)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree or accredited certification in vascular technology, sonography, or a similar program
- Excellent knowledge of sonography technology such as plethysmographs and ultrasound equipment
- Familiarity with patient medical software such as EPIC, ISCV
- Exceptional diagnostic and interpretive abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent patient care and work independently
Job Description:
- Prepare and update patients' medical records
- Ensure that the lab, examination rooms, tools, and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, including Renal Artery Duplex, Venous, Arterial, Carotid, Aorta Iliac, ABI/PVRs, and Upper/Lower Vein Mapping
- Operate and maintain ultrasound and plethysmography equipment
- Generate analytical reports and documentation from sonogram results
- Assist physicians with reviewing and interpreting ultrasound images
- Communicate and explain sonography examinations and results to patients
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing patient schedules and filing diagnostic reports
