Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.nnResponsibilitiesnnProvide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.nnAssess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.nnImplement and monitor patient care plan and equipment.nnMonitor, record and communicate patient condition.nnPerform advanced respiratory care modalities.nnEvaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.nnEducate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.nnAssist with care, calibration and maintenance of all equipment.nnParticipate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.nnProcess equipment per established cleaning/sterilization procedures.nnRespond to emergency resuscitation team calls.nnRequirementsnnLicensure / Certification / Registration:nnBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.nnRespiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date. New graduates must have receipt of payment for application to Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) upon hire.nnRespiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. New grads must have proof of passing entry level exam, Cert Radiologic Technologist.
