ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
n
n- Assesses the respiratory care needs of patients.
n- Identifies and reviews patient diagnosis/patient care needs and the contraindications and possible complications of patients of performing pulmonary function testing.
n- Demonstrate proficiency in department workflow and scheduling appointments.
n- Performs and becomes proficient in pulmonary function testing including but not limited to spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion, arterial blood gases, cardiopulmonary exercising testing, six-minute walks, respiratory pressures, bronchoprovocation, impedance oscillometry, pentamidine treatments, exercise-induce bronchospasm, and bronchoscopy per department policies.
n- Documents appropriately in testing software, patient medical record, and department charting.
n- Maintains knowledge of departmental policies and procedures.
n- Assist in maintaining supply requirements in department and stocks inventory as needed.
n- Recognizes education/experience limitations and seeks expertise as needed.
n- Participates in department meetings and trainings.
n- Becomes proficient in calibrations, quality control, analyzer functions, surveys, and inspections.

$29.92 - $46.55; Salary commensurate with experience

Shift : 7am - 5pm/5 day/40hrs wk. Multiple locations once proficient in all areas.
