Registered Nurse - Post-Surgical Short Stay

The Registered Nurse contributes to providing a compassionate and caring environment for patients and colleagues. Recognizes the value of each employee's work and its contribution to the mission's success.

Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and tests, and document treatment as required.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care rendered.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
• Current Registered Nurse license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools and techniques
