Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Radiation Therapist to provide specialized care to our patients undergoing radiation treatment at our NEW state of the art facility!nnAnticipated Schedule:nnFour 10-hour shiftsnnM-TH or Tu-FnnCompensation:nn$35 - $50 per hour based on qualifications and experiencennSign On Bonus!!nnAbout the Role:nnYou will work closely with our Radiation Oncologist and veterinary team to ensure optimal patient care, precision in treatment delivery, and accurate documentation.nnKey Responsibilities:nnAdminister Radiation TreatmentsnnDeliver radiation treatments, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), to canine and feline patients under the supervision of a board-certified veterinary radiation oncologist.nnEquipmentnnOperate using a new Elekta Versa Linear Accelerator.nnPatient Positioning and Treatment DeliverynnPosition patients of various sizes and shapes for treatment.nnAccurately deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy.nnDosimetry and Treatment PlanningnnDosimetry experience is highly valued for assisting with treatment plan development.nnContribute to plan Quality Assurance (QA) and thorough documentation of cases.nnPotential involvement in planning Computed Tomography (CT) setups.nnAnesthesia and Patient CarennAssist with holding patients for anesthesia induction and monitor them post-anesthesia until fully awake.nnSupport medical procedures such as blood draws, small biopsies, or fine needle aspirates of masses.nnTeamwork and CommunicationnnDemonstrate a high level of communication skills and commitment to a collaborative team environment.nnIf you're passionate about making a difference in patient outcomes and have a strong clinical background, we encourage you to apply.nnRequired Qualifications and Skills:nnA Bachelor's Degree in the physical or biological sciences OR Registered in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or equivalent organizationnnTwo years of clinical experience or graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program in radiation therapy (or equivalent).nnCertified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy or ARRT Board exam eligible.nnEligible for licensure by the New Hampshire State Department of Health as a radiologic technologist.nnDosimetry experience or willingness to learn (responsible for registering imaging for treatment planning and contouring of normal structures).nnProficiency with computer platforms like Varian Eclipse and Aria (training provided).nnExperience with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT).nnStrong communication skills and patient/client-oriented mindset.nnDemonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, and attention to detail.nnBenefits:nnCE AllowancennUniform AllowancennPaid Time OffnnEmployee Pet Discountnn401knnMedical/Dental/VisionnnDisability InsurancennLife InsurancennHSA/FSAnnAccess to VetBloom for RACE-approved continuing education and trainingnnPartnership with Purdue Veterinary Technology program, including scholarshipsnnLicense application and renewal reimbursementnnFinancial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certificationnnIn addition to expanding services in oncology and neurology, some highlights include:nn??
