(MNPD Academy, DCSO and Metro Animal Control).nnOversees cost-effective use and conservation of resources, including the supply and administration of drugs, vaccines, biologicals, and laboratory services.nnSubmits billing statements to Metro departments to ensure prompt payment of services rendered.nnCollaborates with Injury on Duty (IOD) case managers, Metro HR/Safety personnel, physician offices and patients/employees to facilitate examinations and potential return to work.nnWorks in collaboration with the MPHD Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator to ensure compliance with standards.nnPrepares qualitative and productivity reports, annual reports; reviews current research to stay abreast of occupational public health issues.nnEnsures compliance with HIPAA.nnWill provide guidance/mentorship to the nurses and office reps.nnMinimum QualificationsnnMaster of Science in Nursing from a program accredited by a nationally recognized nursing accreditation organization.nnCurrent Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally recognized nursing accreditation organization.nnCertificate of Fitness as an Advanced Practice Nurse issued by the State of Tennessee.nnLicensed a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee.
