Shift: DaynnHours per week:nn40nnSalary range:nnDepends on ExperiencennNeuro Interventional/Stroke Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant / Overview QualificationsnnThis position requires a strong background in neurology/stroke, interventional radiology, or neurosurgery, along with excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills; new graduates interested will be strongly considerednnThe ideal candidate will preferably have at least two years of experience, neurology, neurosurgery, or stroke-related experience and should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment, delivering high-quality care to patientsnnMaster's degree in Nursing or a relevant field from an accredited programnnCurrent, unrestricted Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) license and certificationnnMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in neurology, interventional radiology, or neurosurgerynnStrong knowledge or interest in neurovascular diseases, interventions, and proceduresnnExceptional clinical and critical-thinking skillsnnEffective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patientsnnAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentnnProficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and other healthcare technologynnCommitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in neurointerventional carennKey Responsibilities and ExpectationsnnResponsibilitiesnnAs an APP, you will play a crucial role in the comprehensive care of patients with neurovascular conditions, working closely with the neurointerventional and stroke teamnnPatient Assessment and Diagnosis:nnConduct thorough neurovascular assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic testsnnFormulate accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients with neurovascular conditions, such as strokes, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), and vascular stenosisnnPerform outpatient clinic visits on new, existing, and post-procedure patients to coordinate their care in coordination with an Attending physician.nnTreatment Planning and Implementation:nnCollaborate with the neurointerventional team to develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, imaging results, and patient preferencesnnPatient Management and Follow-Up:nnMonitor and manage patients' post-procedure, assessing their response to treatment, identifying complications, and initiating appropriate interventionsnnEvaluate and manage potential neurological complications, such as vasospasms, hemorrhages, and infectionsnnProvide patient education on post-procedure care, medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up requirementsnnCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, interventional radiologists, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient carennParticipate actively in multidisciplinary conferences and contribute to treatment planning discussionsnnProvide consultation and guidance to nursing staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals regarding neurovascular carennParticipate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance neurointerventional care and enhance patient outcomesnnCollect and analyze data, participate in data-driven discussions, and contribute to academic publications and presentations
