About the Role:
As a Surgical Technologist at our Valley Eye Surgical Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team will be essential to the success of each surgery. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, including externship/internship in an operating room
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist
• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center
• Experience with ophthalmic surgery
• Experience with electronic medical records

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
• Sterilize equipment and ensure that all instruments are functioning properly
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure that all necessary supplies are available
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure

Skills:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will use your knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment to ensure that each procedure runs smoothly. You will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a sterile field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In addition, experience with electronic medical records and ophthalmic surgery would be beneficial in this role.
