Regions Hospital has an opportunity for a Security Dispatcher to join our team!
The Dispatcher will effectively prioritize responses to a wide variety of routine, public service and emergency support calls requiring various problem-solving techniques, judgment, and verbal de-escalation. This position will use best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business continuity. The Dispatcher supports all HealthPartners properties and work locations in preparedness, response, and recovery from both routine and emergency incidents and must be a strong multi-tasker with problem solving capabilities; an analytical person that possesses critical thinking skills and is detail oriented.
Job Duties:
  • Monitor cameras and alarms
  • Responsible for answering routine and emergency calls for service and providing general assistance to colleagues, patients, visitors, and members
  • Operate access control technology
  • Communicate information surrounding incidents to leadership as appropriate
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • 2 or 4-year degree in Law enforcement or currently enrolled in a degree program
OR
  • One year of experience working in Security, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, Military or Healthcare security in a dispatch position
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • BLS certification required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
  • Post high school education in the field of law enforcement
Experience:
  • Healthcare security dispatch experience, law enforcement dispatch experience

This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits, which begin on day one of employment.
