We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The PDM will play a critical role in managing product development operations, ensuring timely execution of the Product Lifecycle Calendar (PLC), and coordinating between departments to meet deadlines. This role also encompasses managing key checkpoints in the lifecycle process, tracking milestones, and ensuring developments align with product strategy.
This position requires a proactive leader capable of managing the Product Developers and Product Coordinator while liaising closely with the sourcing team to ensure compliance with PLC timelines. The PDM will also be responsible for building and refining processes and structures within the Product Development department to enhance efficiency and ensure alignment with the company’s broader goals. The role involves up to 30% travel to Asia annually to oversee developments and maintain strong relationships with our partners. The PDM will not be responsible for defining product direction or directly developing products.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Product Development team, including Product Developers and the Product Coordinator, to ensure efficient workflows and high performance.
- Operational Execution: Maintain and track Product Development team deliverables within Product Lifecycle Calendar (PLC), ensuring all product developments adhere to key checkpoints, deadlines, and strategic goals.
- Process & Structure Building: Develop and refine processes and structures within Product Development to create systems and tools that enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and ensure alignment with company-wide objectives
- Design Sensibility: Maintain an eye for design to ensure products adhere to Moe’s Home Collection’s aesthetic and strategic goals.
- Sample Reviews: Oversee the review of samples, ensuring quality standards are met and designs align with product strategy and market positioning.
- Product Confirmation: Manage the product confirmation process.
- SKU Creation: Oversee SKU creation and collaborate with internal departments) and external partners to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
- Vendor and QA Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and the Quality Assurance team to ensure product standards, specifications, and timelines are met.
- Market Research: Monitor trends, attend trade shows, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive pricing and category positioning within key product categories.
- Departmental KPIs: Define, manage, and track departmental focuses and KPIs to evaluate team performance and ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Travel: Conduct international travel (approximately 30% annually) to factories and suppliers in Asia to oversee developments, maintain timelines, and ensure vendor accountability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product development or operations management in the furniture or lifestyle industry.
- Proven experience managing teams and tracking KPIs to measure departmental performance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with market trends and competitive product positioning in furniture or lifestyle categories.
- Design Sensibility: A strong eye for design to ensure alignment with the brand’s aesthetic and strategy.
- Process Development: Experience in building and refining operational processes and structures within product development to enhance team efficiency.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Vietnamese or Chinese is a strong advantage.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the year.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 per year.
