What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain Litens’ Health, Safety & Environmental programs including policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to Litens Health, Safety & Environmental programs in all departments, and works with managers and supervisors in the enforcement
  • Ensure applicable hazard identification / analysis impacting workplace health and safety is conducted and action items are implemented
  • Ensure Litens Health, Safety & Environmental programs remain current with applicable legal and other requirements
  • Performs routine Health, Safety & Environmental audits and inspections and reports findings to management
  • Provide and coordinate employee Health, Safety and Environmental training
  • Review all accident / incident investigations and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented
  • Provides regular statistics to management regarding Health, Safety & Environmental performance

What will you bring?

  • Minimum of 5 years of health, safety, environmental experience working in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in implementing and maintaining an HSE Management System (ISO 14001 and 45001)
  • Must have a degree / diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent

o CRSP designation an asset

o ISO Certified Auditor preferred

  • Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary; may be required to work different shifts
  • Must have a good understanding of Canadian Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
  • Proficient in MS Office
