We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Research and Recruitment Associate to join our team. The right person is a bright, inquisitive, and accomplished university graduate who enjoys the challenge of working in a sophisticated, professional environment. They have a degree in Library and Information Management, Communications or Project Management. It’s entirely possible that until they saw this posting, they hadn’t considered Executive Search as a career.


A Research and Recruitment Associate is a highly valued member of the Executive Search practice, providing invaluable insight, judgement and intellect to our search mandates. Working closely with the Vice President, they will cover all aspects of the search process from briefings, search strategy, candidate mapping and engaging with candidates and clients.


Our ideal candidate is a hard-working, smart, self-starter who enjoys being part of a team, while having autonomy. With innate natural curiosity and strong research skills, they come up with fresh ways to find just the right information or person, to cut through the extraneous details and get to what really matters. They are inherently creative and not daunted by the pursuit of solutions which are not obvious.


The Research and Recruitment Associate, will conduct industry and candidate research, work directly with both candidates and clients, and learn to manage the recruitment process from start to finish. The role has both breadth and depth and is critical to the success of the team.


Qualifications/Attributes:

  • Undergraduate degree (Journalism, Business), with post graduate education ideally in Management of Library & Information Sciences, Communications and/or Project Management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Collaborative approach and positive and resilient attitude
  • Curiosity and intellect
  • Thinks laterally while maintaining a methodical and process driven approach
  • Can work on varied and complex roles within defined timeframes
  • Strong research skills; quickly learns new software and online search tools
  • High integrity, accountability and initiative
  • Enjoys people and being engaged with the world they work in
  • Fluency in French is an asset
