Urgent Care Physician Jacksonville FL
4-day work week Monday- Friday
We are looking for a Physician to join our urgent care center group in Jacksonville, FL. You will find a supportive and welcoming team to work alongside you within our state-of-the-art Urgent Care Center. The incoming Physician will be required to see and treat a wide variety of health care issues in patients of all ages in our busy center where we provide urgent care, occupational medicine, and wellness services. We are seeking a BCBE Family Practice, Emergency Medicine Physician, or Occupational medicine physician to help us provide the highest quality of care. We will consider Internal Medicine if there is pediatric training/experience. Must be willing to see both Urgent care and Occupational Medicine visits and preferably have an interest in FAA exams, wt. loss, and hormone replacement therapies.

Duties:
  • Provide direct care to patients of the clinic (Office/urgent care visits, occupational med with work comp, employer/DOT services/physicals, and acute care visits)
  • Evaluates and treats common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma as well as specialty physicals and employment testing
  • Performs in-office minor procedures (small laceration repairs, joint splinting, closed reduction of small joints, wound care, I&D, joint/trigger point injections, Admin IM antibiotics/steroids, and local analgesics)
  • Orders and reviews diagnostic tests, X-rays, labs, and bloodwork (UA, Strep, EKG, Flu, Drug screen, Urine Pregnancy)
  • Consistently and accurately documents all calls, treatments, medications, etc. in patient chart
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding diagnosis and follow up steps
  • Responds to all patient questions
  • Supervise other medical providers (NP’s/PA’s)
  • Participate in chart reviews as needed
  • Oversee management of the lab
  • Collaboration with the other physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff for comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • MD or DO -Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Occupational or Internal Medicine physician only if there is pediatric training/experience
  • Must be comfortable/able to see patients 6 months and older
  • Active Medical License in FL
  • Active DEA Registration and DOT certified
  • Should be comfortable/knowledgeable to perform basic urgent care and occupational med procedures.
  • ER, Urgent care, and Occupational med experience (work comp and DOT certification) preferred
Schedule:
  • 4-day work week (40 hr) Monday- Friday
Compensation (range):
  • $ 125/hr
