Client is seeking someone who holds OR has the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Job Overview:
The Audio-Visual Sustainment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of audio-visual (A/V) systems in mission-critical environments. This role requires expertise in diagnosing technical issues, implementing proactive maintenance, and providing timely support to ensure seamless operation of A/V equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on audio-visual systems, including displays, projectors, video conferencing equipment, sound systems, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal downtime, prioritizing system functionality and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure A/V systems integrate effectively with network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and document issues, solutions, and system configurations for future reference.
- Provide on-site support for MAJOR meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring all A/V components function as required.
- Stay updated on the latest A/V technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to optimize system performance.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, consumables, and tools to support sustainment activities.
- Train end-users on operating A/V systems and provide clear documentation for system use.
Required Qualifications:
- A Top-Secret government clearance is required for this position. Applicants must either possess a TS clearance currently or be able to pass a background check to receive one.
- Knowledge of Crestron
- Proven experience troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Applicants must be able to work onsite in New Orleans, LA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or Crestron/Extron certifications.
- Experience in government or highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations for networked systems.
