Our client, a prestigious multi-billion-dollar hedge fund headquartered in New York, is looking to bring on an analyst to the team with a dedicated focus on the chemicals sector. This is an established fund with $10bn+ AUM looking to expand their existing fundamental team. Members of the team will work as the sole sub-sector specific expert and work in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Evaluate business models and financial statements of publicly listed companies, with a focus on the chemicals sector
• Build conviction around actionable trade ideas
• Monitor market trends across the chemicals industry
• Work with team members to improve research techniques
• Leverage alternative data, industry contacts and other resources

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in equity research covering chemicals
• Strong modeling skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and intellectual curiosity are a must
• Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven record of success in professional and academic career
