Job Title: Senior Chemical Engineer – Carbon Capture Technologies


Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Engineer with a strong background in carbon capture technologies with an emphasis is adsorption to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will lead the development and optimization of processes aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing sustainability across our operations. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, as well as experience in pilot plant operations and scale-up processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of carbon capture processes and technologies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate new carbon capture methods and materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate carbon capture solutions into existing systems and operations.
  • Oversee pilot projects, including planning, execution, and performance evaluation to ensure successful technology transfer from laboratory to industrial scale.
  • Analyze data from experiments and pilot plants to drive continuous improvement in carbon capture efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and advancements in carbon capture technologies.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and skill development.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical engineering with a focus on carbon capture technologies or related processes.
  • Proven track record of successful project management in R&D or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical reaction engineering, mass transfer, and thermodynamics as they pertain to carbon capture.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software for chemical processes (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with different carbon capture technologies, such as amine absorption, adsorption, or membrane separation.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability standards related to carbon management.
  • Published research in relevant journals or patents in carbon capture technologies.
