The Operations Manager is responsible for:
- Manage Pre-Sales (Engineering, Technical Support, Procurement, Logistics) and Project Coordination Teams
- Provide direction, coaching and counseling for Pre-Sales and Project Coordination personnel
- Track and measure personnel, success and error rate for customer proposals & equipment delivered
- Facilitate the development and improvement to the process and flow for project delivery and the successful execution within the DCE Solar organization
- Help elevate skill set and technical knowledge of our technical team
- Create scalable processes to enhance the efficiency and productivity for project execution as the business shifts significantly towards ground system projects
- Review and evaluate all Customer Proposals for content and accuracy, to deliver the best technical and economic solution
- Executing the Quality Control review process between customer requirements and DCE Solar’s
- solution
- Own/oversee and improve DCE documentation i.e. installation manuals, engineering drawings detail capture, etc.
- Maintain performance of UL certifications, necessary testing, etc.
- Facilitating the successful delivery, communication and integration with the customers project execution
- Fielding, developing and providing customer needed timely corrective action
- Providing direct communication with customer operating personnel for status, corrective action and project solution alternatives
- Communicating directly with customers and ensure that all required technical and practical project information has been received and configured.
- Additionally, providing answers and technical collaboration to our client’s questions and concerns.
- This role is a fundamental role within the organization, as the client facing, technical collaboration and team participation requires a unique level of skill and activity coordination
- Developing process reviews with the goal of executing corrective action of process improvements, efficiencies and/or automation
- Develop a trusting rapport with client design teams, supply partners, and all DCE teams
- Schedule and manage timely proposal deliverables and solutions
- Professionally represent DCE Solar
- Review proposed client project layouts and approve for quoting
- Provide an alternative/more practical technical solution to customers if applicable
- Encompass a full understanding of the DCE product, services, costs and warranties
- Answer customer technical requests and operational execution requests
- Properly vet and prepare all client awarded projects for seamless transition throughout the DCE organization
- Ensure efficiency in the complete process from Pre-Sales to Engineering to Project Management
- Attend exhibitions and market functions as directed
- Work with outside and inside sales personnel to provide effective support to their efforts
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company systems and processes
- Full functionality within the Microsoft Office suite of software, to include 365 Dynamics (CRM)
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Business or Technical degree
- Minimum 3 years of management/leadership is required
- Experience with either project management, (pre)construction, technical support
- Technical aptitude
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Detail oriented, energetic, self-driven, highly motivated, personable, and collaborative
- Professional acumen, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite

Hybrid schedule: WFH Monday and Friday, in office Tuesday-Thursday
