Shepherd, Harvey & Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. Our compensation and benefits are extremely competitive within the industry. Our projects include various types of medical facilities as well as office, retail, restaurant, multi-family, dental, religious and education. The Electrical Engineer will coordinate design components with a multi-disciplinary team. Shepherd, Harvey & Associates has a hybrid working environment and allows remote working.

The Electrical Engineer’s main responsibilities will include:
- Electrical design of power distribution (including panel schedules and risers), lighting, lighting controls systems, and various low voltage systems.
- Electrical design of specialized systems such as emergency generator selection and design, site lighting, fire alarm, and nurse call.
- Meeting/webinars with clients to coordinate electrical systems with other project elements.
- Meeting with vendors to specify appropriate equipment.
- Managing and delivering revisions.
- Performing submittal/shop drawing reviews.
- Responding to RFI's.
- Preparing CAD/REVIT generated construction drawings and specifications.
- Overseeing Junior electrical designers
- Reviewing, Supervising and Stamping electrical designs.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- PE License is required.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
- Revit Experience is a must.
- AutoCAD Experience is a must.
- PE registration is required.
- Familiarity with NEC and other applicable codes.
- Experience with industry standard software, including Microsoft Office products.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
