Job Description

Our client, at top ranked General Contrator, is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of retail construction projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Retail/Commercial Tenant Improvement and/or Ground-Up Construction, with a strong focus on big-box retail, grocery stores, and shopping centers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Management: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Oversee site safety protocols, quality control measures, and adherence to regulatory and company policies.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project finances, including tracking costs, managing change orders, and ensuring budget compliance.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, schedules, and financial performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address challenges to keep projects on track and meet quality expectations.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager, with proven expertise in retail or commercial construction.
  • Specialization: Demonstrated experience managing big-box retail, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, or similar projects.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams, including subcontractors and internal staff.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Project Tools: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and reporting tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective client and stakeholder management.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for regional and national project assignments.
