Required Skills and Experience *

- Targeting 1-2 years of Civil Engineering, land planning, surveying, or mapping experience doing design in AutoCAD. Internship experience is ok

- Need to have experience doing road design, land development, green field land development knowledge, grading, ideally for residential projects

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

-Bachelors in Civil Engineering, land planning, design, drafting, Land Surveying, geomatics, geography, topography, or related engineering discipline

- A candidate with residential or commercial land development/civil engineering experience

- Currently has their PE, PLS, LSIT license

Job Description *

An employer is looking for an AutoCAD Technician in the San Diego area. The candidate will be working hands on in CAD software doing land planning for residential and commercial land development. The candidate will be working as a part of a group on residential and commercial housing development design across San Diego. They will be working doing land development projects for both public and private sector clients. The candidate will also be working directly with the clients to go over designs and to make sure the project is on track. The candidate will work on various projects between parcel maps, grading, ALTA, and infrastructure, storm drain design, drainage and sewage systems, and construction engineering management.
