Job Description

We're seeking skilled Solar Substation Engineers to design and deliver cutting-edge electrical infrastructure that powers renewable energy projects. Join teams working on transformative projects in the solar sector, where your expertise will drive the future of clean energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Design : Develop detailed designs for substation components, including switchgear, transformers, and protection/control systems, with a focus on high-voltage (34.5kV to 500kV) applications.
  • System Studies : Conduct power flow, short circuit, grounding, and protection coordination studies to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Technical Documentation : Create detailed engineering documentation, including single-line diagrams, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
  • Compliance & Standards : Ensure designs adhere to NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, and regional utility standards.
  • Project Management : Collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines, budgets, and project deliverables.
  • Equipment Specifications : Develop procurement specifications for substation components and evaluate vendor proposals.
  • Construction Support : Provide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, and testing phases.

Qualifications We're Looking For:

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience : 3-7+ years of experience in high-voltage substation design, ideally in solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Technical Skills :
    • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or PLS-CADD.
    • Strong understanding of relay protection and control schemes.
    • Familiarity with SCADA integration and communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850).
  • Certifications : PE (Professional Engineer) license is highly desirable.
Desired Skills and Experience
-Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or PLS-CADD.
