We offer top-of-the-line animal services for pets in Indianapolis, Fishers, Lawrence, and surrounding cities.Position Purpose: Oaklandon Family Vet in eastern Indianapolis, Indiana, is looking for a full or part-time associate veterinarian. We have a brand new AAHA-style hospital, with all new technology (paperless, cloud-based practice management software, tablets), new equipment (upgraded dental x-ray, new IDEXX laboratory machines, digital x-ray, cold laser, ultrasound, surgical laser etc), and aesthetic design, all designed to capture a younger, tech-enabled and family-centric audience. Our Chief of Staff is here 4-4.5 days per week and loves mentoring other doctors! Our doctors enjoy dentistry and surgery, and are happy to support another doctor in their interests as well. We want to make sure that someone who steps into this important role is properly compensated - so we are offering up to $50,000 in sign-on bonus for the right candidate. Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients’ medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUp to $50,000 in signing bonusesUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
