Job Summary: The Guest Services Representative performs duties to provide customer service to the members and guests of the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center. This position is a part-time year round position. We are offering two positions for this role.
Position 1:
Must be able to work Sundays, along with being available for other weekend/evening shifts as well.
Position 2:
Must be able to work early mornings on Monday and Friday, along with being available for other morning shifts as well.
Essential Functions:
1. Must have detailed computer knowledge and be able to learn new programs quickly. Experience with RecTrac and Microsoft Office preferred.
2. Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period.
3. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while doing multiple things.
4. Able to learn new computer programs quickly and deal with multiple things at once.
5. Must have a pleasant personality with the ability to interact with different types of personalities.
6. Greet and check in all members upon entering and leaving the facility with a smile.
7. Answer the phone politely and professionally using the scripted salutation.
8. Able to work the phone system to retrieve messages and transfer calls and messages to the appropriate department or person.
9. Follow all facility and Buffalo Grove Park District safety rules.
10. Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
11. Perform opening and closing procedures and paperwork including reconciling cash and sales made during the day and verifying the correct dollar amount to be deposited.
12. Assist members in a friendly and pleasant manner during challenging situations.
13. Have working knowledge of all of our policies, procedures, and class offerings.
14. Keep the front desk clean.
15. Will be required to work a minimum of three holiday shifts throughout the year.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
2. Customer service experience required.
Salary:
$16 - $21 per hour, depending on experience
