General Clerk III (San Diego)
Location: San Diego Position: Full-time Must have current DoD Secret clearance Description
General Clerk III will be expected to provide customers service in a full range of Active Duty Military, Reserve Duty Military Duty and DOD Civilian Personnel Support activities. These services will be Pay and Personnel Support, Transportation Support Services, Support Command Services as Division/Department Back Up Support for Code 55000 NIWC SSC Pacific.
Responsibilities:

  • Support Services for Active Duty Personnel and Commands
  • Transportation Specific Support Services
  • Additional tasks may apply
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 (one) Year experience in a Customer Service environment.
  • HR background in either the following disciplines: Military Pay, Military Personnel, Travel Claims or Navy Transportation. Substitutions for HR background can be from similar experience gained in either the private sector or other Federal Agency.
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Possesses Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance - A MUST
  • Education, HS degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possesses excellent communication skills - verbal and written; time management skills; self-motivated; detail oriented; anticipate needs of client; resourceful; research skills; adept in technology; keeps abreast of changing processes and new processes. Follow up as needed for appropriate actions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat Pro; Microsoft Outlook; Map/Blueprint reading; HUB Services
  • Able to interact with others and to explain complex actions taken in regard to a military member's entitlements, allowances, or collections
  • Knowledge and experience with grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and military terminology commonly used within office settings to prepare material correctly.
  • Knowledge or experience with standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and other office automation systems to perform a substantial range of office automation support
