Staffmark has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Permit Specialist in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with regulations for construction projects. Additionally, you will be in charge of working with customers to ensure the correct signage is placed on properties and marking underground utility lines to prevent damage during excavation. Responsibilities:

• Obtain permits from local authorities for construction projects
• Review project plans to ensure compliance with regulations
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather documentation
• Submit permit applications and follow up on their status
• Conduct site visits to assess project locations and identify potential issues
• Mark underground utility lines using blue stakes or other approved methods
• Collaborate with utility companies to locate and mark their lines
• Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and blue stake markings

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in software for permit applications and record-keeping
• Familiarity with blue stake marking procedures and equipment is a plus

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay: $50,000 - $80,000 per year
