Opening February 2025, we’re seeking experienced server assistants to join our team for an exciting multi-concept project. The team from Golden Diner is bringing two distinct yet complementary dining experiences under one roof: Golden HOF and NY Kimchi.
About Golden HOF Golden HOF is a lively, fun, and dynamic space inspired by traditional Korean-style HOF bars. With casual pub vibes and a modern twist, our menu features classic anju, jjigae, and shareable dishes, perfectly paired with a creative beverage program highlighting soju, craft beers, and original cocktails. About NY Kimchi NY Kimchi offers a more refined yet equally adventurous dining experience. The Role: Server Assistant As a
Server Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the servers and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This position combines food running, tableside grilling, and maintaining the dining room’s cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities: - Run Food: Efficiently and safely transport food from the kitchen to the dining areas, including navigating a staircase.
- Tableside Grilling (Only applies to NY Kimchi): Engage with guests by grilling meat at their tables, providing an interactive and memorable dining experience.
- Floor Maintenance: Clear and reset tables, keep the floor tidy, and ensure the restaurant maintains a polished appearance.
- Team Support: Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Physical Requirements - Comfort with frequent use of stairs, as food will be run down from the kitchen to NY Kimchi dining areas.
- Ability to lift minimum 50 lbs.
What We’re Looking For - Willingness to learn about Korean cuisine, grilling techniques, and our beverage programs.
- Enthusiasm for food, beverage, and guest interaction.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor with a team-oriented mindset.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of food running, tableside grilling, and bussing tables.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Weekend + Holiday availability a must!
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
- Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly.
