Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Merit Chevrolet as an Automotive Car Biller/Title Clerk. This individual will be responsible for accurately handling all financial transactions related to vehicle sales, including billing, titling, and processing paperwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as experience in the auto industry. This is a full-time or part-time, individual contributor role located in Maplewood, Minnesota.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Automotive Car Biller/Title Clerk position offers a competitive salary range of $22 to $28 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities:
- Process all financial transactions related to vehicle sales, including billing, titling, and paperwork.
- Verify accuracy of all paperwork and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Calculate and prepare sales tax and license fees for each vehicle sold.
- Review and follow up on vehicle titles to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.
- Communicate with customers and dealerships to resolve any billing or titling issues.
- Coordinate with lending institutions to obtain necessary documentation for vehicle financing.
- Keep up-to-date on changes in state and federal laws related to vehicle sales and titling.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an automotive billing and/or title clerk role (CDK experience preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience working with accounting software.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws related to vehicle sales and titling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
