**Engineering Services Representative I - Non-Bargaining Unit**

**About the job**

Responsible for direct customer service to process requests for new service and other directives associated with engineering and construction projects within a fast-paced office environment. Work includes a high volume of customer contact via telephone and email, data entry, managing spreadsheets, and departmental documentation management.

**This is a non-exempt onsite position at our Sedalia office, located at 5496 North U.S. Highway 85, Sedalia, CO 80135** **with no remote or hybrid work options available.**

**You will...**

+ Originate and process consumer applications for new construction or service.

+ Provide applicants necessary information pertaining to procedures and requirements relative to the line extension, service upgrade, and/or interconnection of electric service including rate schedules and service connection specifications.

+ Issue service orders to install (or remove) meters, as required, as proper releases are received from inspectors, and customer accounts are established in good standing.

+ Maintain accurate location and account information regarding rates, cycles, and devices.

+ Coordinate with contractor to manage installation and invoicing of secondary lateral services.

+ Assist other Engineering Services staff members to balance workload as volume of requests are received.

+ Manage the refunds of tap fees in a timely manner.

+ High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.

+ One or more years of practical equivalent experience in customer service is required.

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong drive to provide exceptional customer service.

+ Ability to work with a multi-screen, multi-application computer system.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.

**Preferred Qualifications** :

+ At least one year of customer service experience within the utility industry.

+ Competent with position-specific software and applications.

**Hourly Range** : $ 22.94 - $28.72
