Job Description SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Support Manager, this position is responsible for managing the Enrollment Data Base software researching genealogy and lineal ancestry as well as records management, front-desk coverage for breaks and lunch, verbal, oral and written correspondence, report creation, and data entry to update Tribal Member information.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Research in Tribal family lineage and ancestry.
- Determine eligibility of all Tribal citizens for formal enrollment process.
- Schedule and administers DNA testing.
- Enter enrollment data in to Progeny database (includes new information and updates).
- Create new Tribal Member and Employee photo ID cards.
- Verify Tribal Member enrollments.
- Assist in filing and archiving all historic records.
- Maintain calendar for building use.
- Process internal/external building use requests.
- Manage Burial Assistants & Elders Pension information.
- Mail correspondence and communication with Tribal Citizens.
- Maintain confidentiality of vital records and family information.
- Attend and participates in Enrollment Committee meetings
- Create reports for CEO and Administrative Support Manager.
- Provide administrative support to administration and the front office as needed.
- Maintain appearance standards as outlined in CTCLUSI policies.
- Must be able to interact with Tribal members and the general public in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a good attendance record as outlined in CTCLUSI Handbook.
- Other duties as directed by management.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY & RESTRICTIONS - This position may have limited supervisory regarding Internship participants.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS - Must be able to walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.

Experience and Skills MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS - Be at least 18 years of age.
- Obtained a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must maintain confidential information.
- Hight attention to detail needed for data entry
- Understanding of Tribal Government Resolution process.
- Understanding of Tribal Code and Constitution for all matters of Enrollment
- Have or willingness to obtain DNA testing certification
- Two years recent work history relevant to clerical duties required.
- Have high level computer skills -with Microsoft Office software and Outlook.
- Possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
- This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
- This is a Covered position which requires background check that includes fingerprinting.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
