Front Desk Supervisor
Job Summary :
The job of a Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of resort front desk, including supervising staff, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, handling guest inquiries, coordinating reservations, and maintaining guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, all while adhering to established policies and procedures. Leads and trains a team of front desk agents, resolving issues and ensuring the overall efficiency of the front office area.
This is a full-time, hourly position.
Responsibilities:
  • Train and develop front desk staff on proper procedures, guest service standards, and use of property management systems.
  • Assign tasks and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage during shifts.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
  • Provide coaching as needed.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, providing a warm welcome and assisting with check-in process.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate information about resort amenities, local attractions, and services.
  • Manage guest reservations, including confirming details and updating system.
  • Ensure smooth check-out process, including handling payments and final billing.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Manage the front desk communication system, including phone calls and guest messages.
  • Ensure adherence to resort policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate guest needs and resolve issues.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience and knowledge working with hotel systems preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Possess strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Basic knowledge of computers and computer systems
