Service Operations Manager

Great opportunity for a previous Lead Bartender or Server to get to the next level of management. Ina Mae Tavern & Packaged Goods is a nationally recognized Michelin Bibb Gourmand restaurant and bar in Chicago’s iconic Wicker Park neighborhood. The free-spirited southern establishment pays tribute to the great Mom-and-Pop joints, dive bars and corner stores of New Orleans. Named after chef and co-owner Brian Jupiter’s great-grandmother. Chef is a 2x James Beard semi-finalist and New Orleans native.

Ina Mae Tavern is seeking a Service Operations Manager to join the team. Applicants should possess rock solid food/ bar operations experience, inspiring leadership, creative impulses, high standards, fluent in F&B trends, a strong sense of humor and decent taste in music. The position affords an independently operated venue in the limelight that is not regimented, corporate or stiff.

• Guest Relations/ Southern Hospitality : Hands on, runs the floor, all dining room and bar operations. Oversees service delivery and quality control. Welcoming guests, touching tables, driving steps of service, guest service and service recovery as needed.
• Quality Control: Maintains a high degree of menu and bar knowledge to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to every guest.  
• Training and Development: Transfers expert level menu, bar and service standards to FOH team. Develops the team to drive high quality and efficient dining room and bar operations.
• Employee Relations Enthusiast: Builds team morale to support high performance dining room and bar operations. The ultimate team player and leads by example. Supports company culture, core values and brand standards. 
• Maintains high quality sanitation standards: Adheres to all relevant health department regulations. Keeping dining room and bar operations clean and safe for guests and staff. 
• Provides support : Hands on support of team.
