About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The successful candidate will be a transformative and inclusive leader with a national and international vision, deeply committed to student success, and with a proven track record in scholarly excellence and administrative leadership. The Dean will be responsible for providing strategic direction and vision for the college, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and extension, and supporting the growth and development of the college's diverse programs. This includes overseeing a complex budget, managing a large faculty and staff, and engaging in development activities to expand donor support. The role also involves championing the college's mission both within the university and with external partners, including legislators, industry, and the community.Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources should hold a terminal degree in a relevant field and have the scholarly achievement to attain the rank of full professor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a demonstrated ability to enhance these areas within an academic setting. Experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and a commitment to shared governance are also essential. The Dean will be expected to lead the college in addressing the grand challenges of our time, such as food security, sustainable agriculture, and environmental health, and to ensure that the college remains a leader in these fields.
