About the Role
The Company is seeking an Inaugural Dean of Nursing and Health Sciences to uphold the integrity and academic standards of its nursing and health sciences programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for the evaluation, improvement, and creation of academic programs, ensuring they meet accreditation and learning outcome standards. This role involves maintaining compliance with state and national nursing and health program requirements, overseeing student clinical placements, and managing the school's finances. The Dean will also be tasked with fostering relationships with alumni and other stakeholders, as well as leading efforts in recruitment, retention, and the student experience.Applicants for the Inaugural Dean position at the company should have a strong commitment to the ideals of Catholic higher education, a doctoral degree, and a minimum of 5 years experience in an academic administrative role. The role requires a leader with a collaborative management style, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in nursing higher education, research, and grant acquisition. The Dean will be expected to be an advocate for the school within the university and at local, state, and national levels, and to promote the role of information technology in the education of nursing, health sciences, and allied health students. Strong fiduciary and budget management skills are essential, as is the ability to engage with colleagues and external partners to support the school's mission.
