About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to lead the oversight and management of its credit administration, compliance, collections, and credit analysis functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the loan portfolio and preventing loan losses. This pivotal role involves reviewing and managing financial institution loan policies and procedures, conducting in-depth analyses on large loans, and ensuring the effective management of the loan portfolio. The Chief Credit Officer will also be tasked with monitoring and managing a team of credit officers, handling customer inquiries, processing credit applications, and maintaining accurate records of customer credit.Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a credit officer role or a similar capacity. Proficiency in commercial credit, consumer credit, and business lending is essential, as is an extensive knowledge of commercial and consumer lending. The role requires a demonstrated understanding of lending policies, familiarity with lending regulations, and the ability to lead and inspire a team. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are a must, along with excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in risk management. A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is required, with a Master's degree or higher being preferred. Professional certifications in credit or risk management are advantageous, and candidates should be proficient in financial software and databases with a solid understanding of financial laws and regulations.
