About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial, investment, and risk management activities. The CFO will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust financial and operational strategy that supports the organization's growth and impact. This includes overseeing all fiscal planning, resource allocation, and financial policies, as well as managing the company's cash and investments. The successful candidate will also lead the finance team, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide strategic financial counsel to the President and the Board of Trustees. A key aspect of the role is to foster a culture of financial excellence and to work closely with other senior leaders to drive the company's overall strategy.Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' professional experience, with at least 5 years' in an executive-level financial leadership role. Strong strategic and analytical skills, a proven track record in team leadership, and experience in financial management within a complex and dynamic environment are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in higher education and a deep commitment to the mission of providing quality, accessible education. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for advanced degrees or professional certifications in finance or accounting. The CFO must be a cooperative and effective leader, with excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of partnering with diverse stakeholders to achieve financial and strategic goals.
