The Freight Coordinator will schedule incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments to be transported via truck, train, or other means.
Role and Responsibilities

• Coordinating with the warehouse manager to schedule Kilcoy managed inbound and outbound freight carrier deliveries/pickups of frozen and fresh perishable goods.
• Manage FTL/LTL domestic and international container loads.
• Negotiate rates & services with major cross-divisional carriers.
• Identify and utilize carriers that maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Utilize ERP software for managing orders and scheduling
• Understand, practice, and enforce Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's) and Company food safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our products
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a production environment with duties directly related to transportation logistics, including inventory management, trucking bids, coordinating with warehouse operations and customer service.
• Experience working in a food processing environment
• Knowledge of database management, including enterprise software.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel
• Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
