Job Summary:

The Senior Sales Associate for Construction is responsible for driving sales growth within the construction industry by building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and offering construction products and services tailored to client needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales, with an emphasis on client-focused solutions and sales strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development and Client Relationship Management
  • Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities within the construction sector, including contractors, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess needs, provide updates, and ensure products and services align with their expectations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value accounts and strategic partnerships.
  • Product Knowledge and Solution Selling
  • Stay current on industry trends, construction technologies, and the company's product offerings.
  • Provide tailored recommendations to clients based on their specific needs, project requirements, and budget.
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., project managers, product specialists) to ensure accurate product specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Sales Targets and Performance Management
  • Achieve sales targets, quotas, and KPIs set by the company, consistently driving revenue growth in the construction market.
  • Create and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior leadership.
  • Collaboration and Team Support
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop sales collateral, marketing materials, and campaigns that resonate with the construction market.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior sales associates and other team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and new potential opportunities.
  • Provide insights to the leadership team about emerging market demands and product development needs.
  • Customer Support and Post-Sale Follow-up
  • Ensure the smooth handover of projects to the operations or project management team post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Follow up on completed projects to assess client satisfaction and identify opportunities for future business or referrals.


Qualifications:

  • Experience :
  • 5+ years of experience in sales within the construction, building materials, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Skills :
  • Strong understanding of construction products, services, and processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and safety practices is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment : Office-based with regular travel to construction sites and client meetings.
  • Schedule : Standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work for client meetings or industry events.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to visit construction sites, including walking on uneven ground and working in outdoor conditions.
