The Supervisee is actively working towards becoming a BCBA, is enrolled in BACB approved coursework, and seeking supervision of accrued restricted and unrestricted hours. This position assists with the supervision of therapy staff, policies, and procedures. This position is critical to the Behavior Exchange. The Supervisee serves as an assistant to BCBAs and/or Assistant Clinical Directors with a focus on case management, oversight, and training. They ensure the smooth operation of the organization, its core values, and mission by being a friendly, welcoming ambassador to the organization’s clients, staff, and visitors.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Duties and Caseload Management
- Reports to the Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) and collaborates with BCBAs
- Assist BCBAs and ACDs with assessments, competency assessments, and other clinical paperwork
- Delivers effective 1:1 and group therapy across a variety of clients
- Trains therapists according to client needs and staff supervision goals
- Collects data on staff supervision goals
- Provides ongoing behavioral skills training and support therapists regarding the basics of ABA principles, policies and procedures
- Assists with data collection for employee checklists & annual evaluations
- Ensures fidelity of BIP implementation, interventions, and organizational procedures
- Documents client progress/ barriers to progress - Escalates low/no progress to BCBA
- Attends team meetings with family to review progress/ goals with BCBA
- Addresses parent concerns and escalates increasing or novel problem behavior to BCBA as needed
- Leads staff using performance management system and framework to maximize performance including goal setting, feedback, modeling, and professional development - Collects and reviews performance data to monitor progress
- Assists BCBAs with assessments as needed
- Assists with performance management meetings as needed - Documents and resolves staff performance issues in collaboration with ACD
- Develops curriculum, training content and performs other clinical duties as required
- Responds for Health and Safety and behavioral support
- Ensures documentation and data are accurate for all teaching programs, session notes, incoming health checks, incident reports, sensitive events, CPI, take home notes and any/all other required documentation
- Responsible for Health and Safety documentation for staff and clients via Central Reach. Escalates immediately to Clinical Operations Leadership when incidents occur
- Communicates daily updates to families regarding client’s session and escalates sensitive matters to Assistant Clinical Director
- Notifies Supervisor immediately of any situations or events that could potentially affect the daily operations of the zone, quality of therapy delivered, and/or the morale of the team
- Communicates regularly with other lead therapists, BCBA's, Assistant Clinical Director, Center Manager, Scheduling Team, HR, and other members of the organization to ensure smooth operations
- Responsible for ensuring smooth client transitions into and out of the center
- Collaborates with BCBA to ensure health, safety and security of the zone for all staff and clients
- Assists with center organization and cleanliness; conducts end of day room check outs as needed
- Assists with application of approved topical ointments, non-prescription products as instructed and approved by ACD and parents
- Responsible for ongoing daily communication with staff and parents regarding health and safety, behaviors, demeanor, etc.

- Ensures staff adheres to clients’ daily schedules such as: mealtimes, activities, and transitions
- Ensures that all therapists use universal precautions such as: hand washing, hand sanitizer, sanitizing toys, materials, and surfaces including changing tables, workstations, play structures, furniture, and ensure proper protection whenever exposed to staff/client bodily fluid
- Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for expeditious conflict resolution, cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and zone to succeed
- Creates a workplace culture that emphasizes the identified mission & core values of the organization
- Coaches, mentors and develops staff including new hire support and team integration
- Assists with communication on the floor re: scheduling
- Maintains open communication through team meetings, one-to-one meetings, email, IM and frequent interpersonal communication
- Escalates safety/maintenance issues in the zone to Clinical Operations Leadership
- Holds staff accountable according to policies, procedures and protocols.

Reports directly to the Assistant Clinical Director.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position assists with the supervision of all therapists and clients in the assigned caseload(s).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role may occasionally encounter patients with severe problem behavior in the form of aggression, property destruction, self-injurious behaviors and/or self-stimulatory behaviors.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Travel (if any) is minimal and primarily local during the business day.
