Job Description:
- The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is a health professional who demonstrates competency in all required therapeutic and diagnostic modalities provided in the Sleep Disorder Center and may be required to work variable shifts.
- The Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive adult and pediatric polysomnographic testing, analysis, patient care, education, and associated interventions including diagnostic and therapeutic services such as CPAP, Bi-Level, ASV, MSLT, MWT, HST and O2 titration under the general oversight of the Supervisor, Manager, Director, or designee.
- A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist can also provide oversight and training of other staff.
Required Qualifications:
* California Polysom Technologist License upon hire
* National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire, Or
* National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire
* National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
* Completion of a basic training course in Polysomnographic skills by a school of sleep medicine.
* Completion of medical terminology course.
* 1 year experience in a Sleep Disorder Center.
* Background as a Sleep Technologist, Respiratory Therapist or an EEG Technologist.
