Job Title : Med Tech - Team Leader

Location : Rome, GA

Schedule : Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Summary :

The Med Tech Team Leader performs laboratory analysis on specimens, providing essential clinical information for diagnosis and treatment. This role is responsible for overseeing the quality, efficiency, and safety of laboratory operations while leading a team in the performance of assigned technical duties.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure accurate laboratory testing and adherence to quality assurance guidelines.
• Prepare reagents, manage inventory, and troubleshoot test systems as necessary.
• Collaborate with leadership to resolve operational issues that may affect patient care.
• Assist in the revision of procedures and documentation related to regulatory compliance (CAP, TJC, OSHA).
• Participate in competency assessments, staff meetings, and project implementations.
• Maintain effective communication across shifts and with leadership.

Qualifications :

• ASCP registered Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent certification required.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in clinical laboratory testing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and team leadership skills.
