Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 5 ophthalmologist and 3 optometrists. The current pediatric ophthalmologist is planning to retire and has a combined general/pediatric practice. A brand-new eye clinic is being constructed and is expected to open in 2025
• Current need is for a general ophthalmologist who can provide comprehensive eye care
• Current group has pediatric, retina and glaucoma specialists
• Support staff consists of ophthalmic technicians, LPN’s, and RN’s and are well trained
• On call is every 5th weekend, from Cooperstown, and rarely busy
• Outreach clinics are attended by all ophthalmologists but are limited to only one location each
• Referral patterns to tertiary care ophthalmologists are well established.
• Salary Range: $209,810 - $442,308 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

Job Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• NYS Licensure
• BLS Certification Required
