ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant working hybrid in ND or MN to support our premier client’s hub delivery team. The ideal candidate will have experience with outside sales and customer service, as well as a can-do attitude. This is a 9-month contract role that offers the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions and become part of our client’s fast growing and always evolving delivery partner program. This role requires daily travel (up to 3 hours driving distance each way depending on territory) with mileage reimbursement, access to a reliable vehicle, and occasional overnight trips (planned at minimum the prior week).
Responsibilities:
- Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns (up to 3 hour driving distance)
- Present and pitch the program opportunity to prospective businesses and generate interest to apply
- Qualify the prospective businesses and guide through application, vetting, onboarding process
- Track lead activity and manage pipeline in Salesforce
- Support Business Development Managers to plan and host recruitment events in the community (ex: lunch and learns, town-hall meetings, coffee chats)
- Partner with Business Development Managers to work with local champions such as chambers of commerce and economic development associations
- Partner with Account Mangers and other team members to support newly recruited businesses on launch day and as needed
- Other duties as assigned related to the recruitment and retention of businesses
- Track all activities and outcomes, experience with Sales Force a+
Required Skills:
- 1-2 years in outside sales and/or customer service experiences
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Team 1st can-do attitude a must
- Field sales is a plus
- Prior experience in a role that involved sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus
- Professionalism, enthusiasm to work with others, and high sense of urgency
- Attention to Detail and ability to solve problems for applicants in the field
- Tech Savvy (Experience working with multiple systems and technology) Sales Force a +
- Ability to travel up to 4+ hours round trip distance daily in your own vehicle, and may require occasional per-planned overnight visits
- Access to and daily use of a reliable vehicle (reimbursed by mile)
