Pride Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to support our client’s medical facility based in Robbinsdale, MN. This permanent opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgeon with tasks during procedures, such as holding retractors, cutting sutures, connecting drains, and applying dressings.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment by following aseptic techniques, surgical conscience, and universal precautions.
- Care for instruments and equipment before, during, and after surgery to ensure proper functioning for future use.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities, recognize emergencies, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree Surgical Technologist program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through a recognized governing body or certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred, though new graduates with successful completion of clinical experience will be considered.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Strong proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office and Internet tools.
