Position Overview:
The ACT (Access to Collaborative Treatment) Clinician plays a critical role in delivering collaborative care within an outpatient setting. This position emphasizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to address various mental and emotional disturbances. ACT Clinicians work alongside medical staff, providing screenings, crisis intervention, brief therapy, and referrals. This role is essential for enhancing the social, emotional, and cognitive well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and individual, family, and group counseling.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive care addressing mental and physical health concerns.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Deliver services that are trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, recognizing environmental factors affecting client well-being.
- Manage clinical documentation and maintain compliance with professional standards.
- Participate in case management and ensure appropriate referrals for clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience providing direct care to individuals, families, and groups. Proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Licensure: LMFT, LPC, LBHP, or LCSW. Must either hold or be eligible to obtain Alaska licensure within 6 months of hire.
- Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and build rapport quickly.
